Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – An agreement to operate a prosthetics and rehabilitation center in Marib, northeastern Yemen, was signed on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in the Saudi capital.

The agreement was made between the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and the International Association for the Care of War and Disaster Victims, on the sidelines of the 2024 International Conjoined Twins Conference, as reported by Yemen's official news agency Saba.

Under this agreement, physical rehabilitation services will be provided for individuals with disabilities, ensuring their integration into community services. The center will also focus on diagnosing patients and developing individualized treatment plans, including the fitting of various types of prosthetics and ongoing functional rehabilitation services.

Additionally, the agreement aims to enhance the professional and scientific capabilities of the medical and technical staff, preparing them to handle specialized cases and reducing the emigration of qualified medical personnel. This initiative is expected to benefit 7,174 individuals.
