On Monday, December 2, 2024, the National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicted cold weather and partly cloudy skies across several Yemeni provinces in the coming hours.

In its daily bulletin, shared with Barran Press, the center indicated that cold conditions are expected in the provinces of Dhamar, Al-Bayda, Sana'a, Amran, and Saada, as well as in the highlands of Ibb, Al-Dhala, Lahij, Abyan, Shabwa, and Hadramout.

The center also noted the possibility of scattered rain, which may be accompanied by thunder, in parts of Saada, Hajjah, Amran, Al-Mahwit, west of Sana'a and Dhamar, Rima, Taiz, and the Tihama plain. Moreover, fog and mist are likely to form in the highlands of Saada, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Rima, and Ibb during the afternoon and evening hours.

Along the coastal areas, the weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy, with scattered rain anticipated in parts of the coasts of Hadramout, Aden, and Al-Hudaydah. Moderate winds may occasionally strengthen over the southern Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab entrance, and the Socotra Archipelago.

The National Center for Meteorology warned residents to take precautions against the cold weather in the mountainous regions, especially vulnerable groups such as children, school students, the elderly, and workers during nighttime and early morning hours.
