On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecasted cold weather and light to moderate rain in various regions of Yemen over the coming hours.

In its daily bulletin, which was reviewed by Barran Press, the center indicated that clear and cold conditions are expected during the night and early morning in the governorates of Al-Bayda, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran, and Saada, as well as in the highlands of Al-Dhale and Ibb.

The forecast also predicted relatively cold weather in the mountainous areas of Lahij, Abyan, and western parts of Al-Jawf and Marib, with partly cloudy skies during the day and potential light to moderate rain in scattered areas of the highlands and the Tihama plain, including western Saada, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, and Ibb. Fog and mist are expected to develop in the slopes and elevated areas overnight and in the early morning.

The coastal regions are likely to experience clear to partly cloudy weather with scattered rain in the northern western coast, along with moderate to active winds in the southern Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab entrance, and the Socotra Archipelago.

The center also noted that desert areas are expected to have clear weather with moderate winds that may stir up dust and sand.

The National Center for Meteorology advised caution against exposure to cold weather in mountainous areas, urging citizens to take necessary precautions in cold conditions, especially for children, school students, the elderly, and workers during the night and early morning hours.
