On December 23, 2024, the National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning announced a slight improvement in temperatures across various Yemeni provinces in the coming hours.

In its weather bulletin, the center indicated that mountainous regions would experience clear and cold to very cold conditions during the night and early morning in the provinces of Al-Bayda, Dhamar, Sana’a, Amran, and Saada.

The forecast also suggested relatively cool to cold weather in the highlands of Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Raymah, Taiz, Ibb, Al-Dhale, Lahij, Abyan, and the mountainous and desert areas of Al-Mahrah, Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Marib, and Al-Jawf. There may be scattered low clouds in parts of the western highlands during the day.

The center noted that the expected minimum temperature in Dhamar for early Tuesday morning will improve to 3 degrees Celsius, marking the lowest temperature compared to other provinces in the next few hours.

Coastal areas are predicted to experience mostly clear to partly cloudy weather along the eastern and western coasts, with partial cloudiness over the southern coasts and the Socotra Archipelago. Moderate to brisk winds, ranging from 17 to 27 knots, are expected to cause rough seas and elevated waves in the Gulf of Aden, western coast, Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Socotra Archipelago.

Additionally, the center warned that desert regions would see relatively cool to cold temperatures during the night and early morning in the deserts of Al-Mahrah, Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Marib, and Al-Jawf.
