In a strong statement on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, Major General Abu Bakr Al-Jabouli, commander of Tor Al-Baha forces, affirmed the high combat readiness of his troops. He stressed that his forces are fully prepared to thwart any Houthi attempts to suffocate the Taiz province from the southern districts of Yemen.
Al-Jabouli made these remarks during a visit to the frontlines in the southern Taiz combat zones, as reported by the Armed Forces Media Center. He emphasized that the Tor Al-Baha forces remain steadfast in their commitment to protect all fronts, serving as a strong bulwark against the Houthi "terrorist militia."
"The heroes of our forces not only defend Taiz but also serve as the first line of defense for the provinces of Lahij and Aden, holding six extensive fronts that have thwarted enemy advances since their disastrous coup," he stated.
He warned the Houthis not to test the patience and resolve of his fighters, declaring, "Our hands will remain on the trigger, and our eyes will stay vigilant. The cost of treachery will be steep."
Earlier, the Taiz military axis reported successfully repelling a failed Houthi attack on army positions in the northwest defense line of the city, claiming that eight Houthi militants were killed and 15 others injured during the confrontation.
In recent days, Taiz army forces have thwarted three infiltration attempts by Houthi fighters and repelled an assault on one of the province's fronts.
