In a devastating incident on December 25, 2024, in Al-Jawf province, northeastern Yemen, a violent collision between a taxi and a fuel tanker resulted in the deaths and injuries of 12 individuals.

Local sources reported that the crash occurred near the city center of Al-Hazm, involving a taxi driven by Hamir Sufyan, who was returning from Saudi Arabia with Yemeni passengers. The collision with a tanker carrying a bulldozer led to seven fatalities and five injuries on the "Souq Al-Thuluth" road. Most of the injured were transported to local hospitals in critical condition.

The tragedy coincided with a separate incident where a fuel tanker caught fire while attempting to discharge its cargo at the "Sofah" station in Al-Hazm. Remarkably, the tanker driver managed to maneuver the flaming vehicle out of the market area, successfully detaching the burning tank from the truck's cab, thus preventing further disaster.

Barran Press obtained video footage capturing both the collision and the dramatic scenes of the burning tanker, highlighting the chaos that unfolded in the area.
