On December 28, 2024, a local source reported that a house in the Harib district of Marib, northeastern Yemen, caught fire due to an electrical short circuit.

According to the source speaking to Barran Press, flames erupted in the home of citizen Hussein Atiyah in the Jaradah area, leading to a power outage in the vicinity.

The fire caused significant material losses, damaging property and furniture before local residents were able to control and extinguish it. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties.

The source confirmed that engineering teams from the Harib power station restored electricity approximately one hour after the fire was brought under control and after disconnecting power from the affected home.
