The collision occurred around 3:15 a.m. at the intersection of Bourbon and Iberville streets. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, and the area was subsequently closed off. Eyewitnesses told CBS News that the vehicle sped into the crowd before the driver exited and began firing at people, prompting police to return fire.
