MARIB, Yemen — Marib, located in northeastern Yemen, has been ranked as the most prosperous, developed, and stable city in the country for the year 2024, according to a recent survey conducted by Bran Media.
The survey, which was shared across various social media platforms, garnered a total of 3,229 votes from participants who evaluated five prominent Yemeni cities: Sana'a, Aden, Marib, Taiz, and Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout Governorate.
In the results, Marib secured the top position with a significant majority, receiving 69.2% of the total votes. In contrast, the capital city of Sana'a, currently under Houthi control, came in second with 19.1%.
Aden, designated as the temporary capital of Yemen, ranked third with 6.9%, followed by Mukalla in fourth place with 3.4%. Taiz, which has been besieged by Houthis for a decade, received the lowest percentage at 1.3%.
