Houthis Hold Funeral for Fighters in Sana'a

Barran Press

The Iran-backed Houthi group held a funeral on Sunday in Sana'a for four fighters, according to Houthi-affiliated media. The individuals, who were presented with purported military officer ranks including First Lieutenant and Second Lieutenant, are believed to have been killed recently on the frontlines. The specific date and location of their deaths were not disclosed.
The funeral comes as the Houthis have intensified combat operations across several Yemeni provinces this year, marking a significant escalation after nearly three years of relative peace. This renewed fighting has sparked concerns both locally and internationally about the potential for a wider resurgence of the conflict.
Reports indicate that the Houthis have recently deployed trench diggers, transport equipment, and other heavy machinery to front-line areas, where they are constructing new trenches and barriers and laying landmines in multiple regions.
