In a move to alleviate severe power outages plaguing Aden during the holy month of Ramadan, the Hadramout Tribal Alliance has announced its decision to allow the resumption of crude oil supply to the city's electricity grid.
Alliance leader and deputy governor of Hadramout, Amr bin Habrish Al-Alyi, has directed the security committee to oversee the daily delivery of crude oil, commencing on February 22nd.
This decision marks a temporary reprieve from a previous stance taken by bin Habrish, who had halted crude oil shipments pending the fulfillment of certain demands by the Presidential Leadership Council. The General Electricity Corporation in Aden had urgently appealed for intervention to avert a complete blackout, highlighting the critical need for a stable power supply.
