The Yemeni News Agency Saba reported on Monday that Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, and council member Major General Sultan Al-Aradah arrived in Cairo, Egypt, to attend the extraordinary Arab Summit beginning Tuesday.
Upon arrival, Al-Alimi expressed optimism that the summit would succeed in its objectives, including developing a comprehensive plan for Gaza’s reconstruction and strengthening Arab national security. He commended Egypt for hosting the event amid challenging political and security circumstances, praising the country’s meticulous preparations. Al-Alimi also highlighted Egypt’s ongoing support for Arab unity and the Palestinian people’s right to an independent state.
At Cairo Airport, the Yemeni delegation was welcomed by Egyptian Labor Minister Mohamed Gibran, Yemeni Ambassador to Egypt Khaled Mahfoudh Bahah, and several embassy officials. During the summit, Al-Alimi is expected to deliver Yemen’s address and engage in discussions with fellow Arab leaders on national and regional developments.
