The Yemeni News Agency Saba reported that Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, arrived in Aden, the country’s temporary capital, to strengthen government efforts in addressing the worsening economic and humanitarian crisis.
Al-Alimi, along with other council members, will lead initiatives to mitigate the crisis, which has been exacerbated by Iran-backed Houthi attacks on oil infrastructure and international shipping. He is expected to meet with government officials and international partners to advance economic reforms and stabilize the situation.
A government source commended Saudi Arabia and the UAE for their support in countering Houthi efforts to further destabilize Yemen.
