Local authorities in Marib governorate, northeastern Yemen, launched a Ramadan food basket distribution project on March 18, 2025. The initiative aims to assist 7,902 displaced families excluded from the World Food Program's beneficiary lists. The project is funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and implemented through the local partner, Al-Khair Coalition for Relief.

According to Saba News Agency, the project was inaugurated by Marib Deputy Governor Abdulrab Muftah and Saif Muthanna, Director of the Executive Unit for IDPs’ Camps. Officials praised the King Salman Center’s support for vulnerable families, emphasizing the vital role of these food baskets in alleviating hardship during Ramadan amidst Yemen’s economic struggles and soaring food prices.
The project targets 47,412 displaced individuals in the city and al-Wadi districts of Marib.
