Sources indicated that several senior leaders of the Iran-backed Houthis were killed in U.S. airstrikes targeting the capital, Sana’a, and Saada, the group's northern stronghold. These strikes mark the fourth consecutive week of ongoing operations against Houthi sites and headquarters.
According to sources speaking to "Barran Press," Abu Abdullah Al-Humran, the first deputy governor of Saada and a key administrative and military overseer for the Houthis, was among those killed. Abdulrahman Al-Zurafi, the Houthi-appointed director of education in Saada, also perished in the strikes, along with several of their security escorts.
The Houthi-controlled Ministry of Health reported on Sunday that U.S. airstrikes in Saada resulted in two deaths and 11 injuries, targeting various locations, including a residence in Hafseen.
Further sources informed "Barran Press" of a separate strike on Sunday targeting the home of tribal leader and prominent Houthi figure Saleh Al-Suhaili in the Shu'oub District of northern Sana’a. This attack critically injured Al-Suhaili and resulted in other fatalities. The residence was reportedly hosting a meeting of Houthi leadera.
Saleh Al-Suhaili was identified as a significant Houthi supervisor in Sha'oub District, responsible for managing recruitment, mobilizing fighters, and allegedly orchestrating crimes such as murder, kidnapping, and looting that have impacted numerous Yemeni families in the area.
Conflicting with these reports, Houthi media claimed the targeted house belonged to a civilian and reported four deaths, including two women, and 25 injuries, including 11 women and a child.
