Local sources reported Tuesday that Iran-backed Houthi artillery shelled a residential area in the Al-Had Yafa' district, northern Lahj Governorate.
Sources speaking to "Barran Press" stated that Houthi artillery fire last night struck civilian homes in Al-Makhnaq village, Al-Had district, which borders Al-Bayda Governorate.
One shell reportedly impacted the home of Abdulbari Nasser al-Makhnaqi, causing significant property damage; no injuries were reported.
Populated villages in Al-Had district frequently endure Houthi artillery and mortar shelling, resulting in civilian casualties.
The Houthis maintain positions in the mountainous highlands of Al-Had Yafa', frontline areas bordering government forces, having seized these locations in late 2021 after gaining control of Al-Zaher district in Al-Bayda Governorate.
