An Iran-backed Houthi drone strike in western Shabwah governorate, eastern Yemen, injured a soldier and damaged an ambulance, a military source reported.
The attack targeted a medical checkpoint of the 5th Brigade of the Shabwa Defense Forces (affiliated with the STC) in the Markhah Al-Ulya district, the anonymous source told Barran Press.
Soldier Salah Salem Ali Hadi Al-Mas'abi was wounded, and an ambulance at the checkpoint was disabled in the drone strike. The source added that the area had been hit by multiple drone strikes recently.
The aerial attack followed an extended artillery exchange earlier in the day between Houthis and the 5th Brigade.
