A woman was killed and six of her children were injured on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, after a projectile fired by the Houthi group, classified as a terrorist organization, struck a civilian home in the Al-Musaymir district of Lahj governorate, southern Yemen.
A local source told "Baran Press" that a mortar shell launched by the Houthis targeted the home of citizen "Mudhesh Salem Haidara" in Al-Qareen isolated area of Al-Musaymir, northern Lahj. The attack resulted in the death of 45-year-old "Na'ma Qa'id Haidara" and injuries to her six children—three girls and three boys—including three young children, one of whom is only eight months old.

The injured were transported to several hospitals in Aden, with some reported to be in critical condition due to severe shrapnel wounds. The source also indicated that multiple mortar shells had fallen on civilian homes in Al-Qareen villages as Houthi artillery shelling on residential areas continued.
