Tareq Saleh, a member of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council and commander of the National Resistance on the West Coast, announced on Wednesday, June 4, that his forces are preparing for an "inevitable battle" against Iranian-backed groups, vowing to surprise the enemy with their readiness and weaponry. He asserted that the liberation of Sanaa is imminent.

Saleh made these remarks during a graduation ceremony for a new class of military media personnel in the Hodeidah and Al-Barh axes, according to the official Yemeni news agency Saba. "The battle continues, the Republic remains, and the liberation of Sanaa is inevitably coming, as long as we are present on the field and preparing for what's next," Saleh stated.

Saleh confirmed that his forces have trained 10,000 soldiers since the beginning of this year, emphasizing their full readiness to achieve the goal of liberating the capital, Sanaa. He also highlighted the National Resistance's success in intercepting shipments of Iranian weapons and military equipment at sea that were bound for the Houthis.

Saleh strongly condemned the Houthi group, internationally designated as a terrorist organization, for their actions. He accused them of claiming to champion Gaza while squandering the dignity and freedom of the Yemeni people, causing widespread displacement, and tearing apart the nation. He stressed that the Houthis would not have endured without Iranian support, asserting that Tehran has "employed them as a tool for the Revolutionary Guard."
The Crucial Role of Military Media
During his address, Saleh also underscored the importance of military media in conveying the truth from the battlefields. He called for highlighting the heroism and sacrifices of fighters, as well as exposing the Houthis' terrorism and crimes, including their planting of landmines and explosive devices in schools, mosques, and farms to target civilians.
He further instructed military commanders to facilitate the work of military media, viewing it not merely as a job but as a set of values that contribute to victory and boost the morale of fighters while weakening the enemy's resolve.
