A community dialogue session was held in Marib on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, aiming to empower women in various fields, integrate them into political participation, and elevate them to decision-making positions.

Organized by the Marib Girls Foundation" Fatyat Marib" with funding from the National Democratic Institute (NDI), the dialogue brought together 39 participants, including representatives from political parties and general managers within the governorate, according to a press release received by Barran Press.

As stated in the release, the session is part of the "Project to Enhance the Role of Women and Civil Society in the Political Process and Peacebuilding in Yemen."

"The goal of this dialogue is to create a societal culture that accepts women's work in public affairs and the political arena," explained Aroua Al-Ramal, Executive Director of the " Fatyat Marib"  Foundation. She added that the session aims to "strengthen women's participation in all national dialogues and issues related to the country, among other goals related to the reality of Yemeni women in general and Marib women in particular."

On May 21, 2024, the " Fatyat Marib"  Foundation launched a training course for 60 women on managing community dialogue forums.

The " Fatyat Marib" Foundation is a local community organization licensed in August 2017. According to its definition, it works on "empowering women and youth through comprehensive sustainable development projects, going beyond traditional frameworks and social constraints."
