Governor of Marib Inaugurates Two Projects

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Marib, Major General Sultan al-Arada, inaugurated two projects on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. The projects, a central maintenance unit for the sanitation and beautification fund and the rehabilitation and furnishing of the technical and vocational institute, cost a combined $700,000.

According to the official Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the central unit for the maintenance of machinery and equipment belonging to the sanitation and beautification fund in the governorate costs $500,000, funded by the European Union.

The agency reported that Major General al-Arada, following the inauguration, toured the unit's components, which include nine sections: car mechanics, car electricity, car scales, tire repair, and oil changes, car bodywork and welding, car wash, lathe, warehouses, and administration.

The governor was informed of the construction and modern equipment of the workshops, which will contribute to the maintenance of machinery and equipment, extending their lifespan.

Major General al-Arada also inspected the rehabilitation and furnishing of the technical and vocational institute, which cost $200,000. The rehabilitation included the ground floor and furnishing the practical building with equipment, chairs, tables, whiteboards, projectors, and all practical application materials along with equipment.

The project also included the establishment of an air conditioning and refrigeration workshop, the equipping of an electrical wiring training room, an automotive electrical training room, and a mobile phone maintenance training room.
