Marib Governorate's Deputy Governor, Dr. Abdu Rabuh Muftah, met with a delegation from the British organization Muslim Hands on Tuesday, discussing ways to expand the organization's humanitarian and sustainable projects in the region.

The delegation, currently visiting Marib, included Bassel Al-Khadher, the organization's Global Emergency Manager, Abdur-Rahman Hussein, the Regional Director for Yemen, and Saleh Qasim, the organization's Marib branch manager.

The meeting addressed the dire humanitarian situation in Marib, highlighting the growing need for assistance in various sectors. This need presents a significant challenge for local authorities, exacerbated by the decline in humanitarian interventions from other organizations.

The discussion focused on Muslim Hands' contributions to education, healthcare, and water provision, as well as their plans to expand their involvement and strengthen partnerships with local authorities. This collaboration aims to support the local government in addressing immediate needs while promoting sustainable development and long-term recovery efforts.

Dr. Muftah commended Muslim Hands' humanitarian interventions, particularly their focus on sustainable, development-oriented projects that contribute to improving the lives of displaced populations and host communities over the long term.
