The Minister of Awqaf and Guidance in the internationally recognized Yemeni government, Mohammed bin Ayda Shabiba, on Monday, June 10, 2024, instructed Hajj mission teams to comply with the instructions issued by the Ministry and relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During a comprehensive meeting in Mecca with the field teams of the Yemeni Hajj mission, Shabiba emphasized the Ministry's and its teams' commitment to serving and caring for Yemeni pilgrims in the holy places, ensuring their safe return home. This was reported by the official Yemeni news agency Saba.

He praised the efforts of the field teams, stating that they had "achieved success in the first phase of the season, successfully transporting all pilgrims from our country to the holy lands with ease and according to the Ministry's plans."

Shabiba urged all working teams to "embrace responsibility, patience, and sincerity in serving the guests of the Almighty," commending the efforts of the Ministry of Health's medical committee, women's committees, all relevant local sectors involved in Hajj, and related authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He stated, "This work is among the noblest and most honorable deeds. Yemen's history is rich with nobility, generosity, serving others, and selflessness among its people, as evidenced by the hadiths and historical accounts. All teams should embrace this authentic approach."

The agency quoted the Undersecretary for Hajj and Umrah at the Ministry, Mukhtar Al-Rabash, as saying that "this season has witnessed updates and improvements in the quality of services, including accommodation, housing, transportation, electronic services, and camp services."
