Hundreds of women in the Yemeni city of Marib held a solidarity rally on Wednesday, expressing their support for the Palestinian people and condemning the ongoing Israeli "genocide" in the Gaza Strip.
The rally's statement denounced the brutal actions of the Israeli occupation against the unarmed Palestinian people, including the killing, destruction, and targeting of civilians, women, children, mosques, shelters, hospitals, and schools.
The women called for an immediate end to the "genocidal war" against the people of Gaza. They urged the international community to intervene to stop the destructive war, lift the siege, provide aid to the residents of Gaza, and end the starvation tactics.
The rally praised the resilience, steadfastness, and sacrifices of the people of Gaza, particularly highlighting the strength and perseverance of Palestinian women, especially those in Gaza, who have shown the world the true meaning of patience and steadfastness.
The women emphasized Yemen's unwavering official and popular stance in support of Palestine, reaffirming the Yemeni people's commitment to standing with their Palestinian brothers and sisters.
The rally called on women worldwide to actively participate in advocating for an end to war crimes and violations against unarmed civilians in Gaza.
Since October 2023, Marib has witnessed numerous rallies condemning the Israeli war on Gaza, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people, and supporting their resistance against the Israeli killing machine.
The Israeli war on Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, has resulted in the deaths and injuries of nearly 122,000 Palestinians, mostly children and women, with around 10,000 missing amidst widespread famine and devastation.
