Yemeni President Rashad al-Alimi has left the temporary capital Aden for a "private vacation" lasting several days, according to the official Yemeni news agency Saba. Al-Alimi arrived in Aden on June 10 after a visit to Saudi Arabia, where he participated in the Manama Summit and held consultations with Saudi leadership and regional and international actors on the Yemeni situation, regional developments, and opportunities for reviving peace efforts.
A source in the Presidential Office confirmed Al-Alimi's departure, emphasizing the President's commitment to maintaining "regular communication with all authorities to monitor the situation of citizens, facilitate government tasks, support efforts to improve services, and fulfill its essential obligations."
The source also highlighted Al-Alimi's dedication to "optimizing the Saudi grant to the general budget and the power stations in the liberated governorates," according to Saba.
Al-Alimi's departure comes after a nine-day visit to Aden, where he met with local officials and discussed various issues related to the ongoing conflict and the country's economic and political situation.
