Flash Floods Cause Widespread Damage in Taiz and Hodeidah, Yemen

Heavy rains and flash floods have caused significant damage in the Yemeni provinces of Taiz and Hodeidah, local sources reported on Friday, August 2nd, 2024.

Sources told "Barran Press" that the floods in Hodeidah have washed away and destroyed major roads and power lines in the districts of Al-Sawda' and Al-Muqawir.

Other sources told "Barran Press" that the floods in Taiz have swept away dozens of vehicles in Shamir and caused severe damage to property, with reports of five people missing.

"Barran Press" obtained images showcasing the extent of the damage caused by the floods in Hodeidah and Taiz over the past hours, including washed-away vehicles, roads, and electricity poles.
