Yemen Welcomes Over 800 Foreign and Arab Visitors in Single Day

The Yemeni Ministry of Interior, recognized by the internationally recognized government, announced on Friday, August 2nd, 2024, that 823 foreign and Arab visitors entered Yemen on Thursday.

A statement released by the ministry on its official website, seen by Barran Press, detailed that "Yemen's land and air ports recorded the arrival of 3,395 citizens, 540 Arabs, and 283 foreigners on Thursday."

According to the statement, "Aden International Airport received 831 passengers, while Seiyun International Airport received 124 passengers. The Al-Wadi'a border crossing saw 2,329 passengers, while the Shahn border crossing received 680 passengers, and 254 arrived via the Sarfeit crossing."

The statement further mentioned that "the same ports recorded the departure of 7,152 citizens, 353 Arabs, and 236 foreigners. Aden International Airport saw 898 passengers departing, while Seiyun Airport saw 148 departures. The Al-Wadi'a land border crossing saw 5,952 departures, while the Shahn border crossing saw 575 departures, and 168 departed via the Sarfeit crossing."

In total, a combined 11,959 passengers arrived and departed through Yemen's land ports, according to the Ministry of Interior's statement.
