Source: Houthis Arrest Trade and Industry Minister in Their Unrecognized Government

A well-informed source reported on Monday evening, August 12, 2024, that the Houthi group, internationally designated as a terrorist organization, has arrested a minister in their government in Sana'a (not recognized by the international community).

Journalist "Fares Alhemyari," a correspondent for the Chinese news agency Xinhua, reported on the X platform, monitored by "Barran Press," that there are reports of the Houthis arresting the Minister of Industry and Trade in the Sana'a government (not recognized), Mohammed Sharif Amir al-Din al-Muthar.

Al-Hamri quoted an informed source as saying that "Al-Muthar, who was appointed Minister of Trade and Industry in April 2022, was arrested a few days ago, and the reason for his arrest is not immediately known."
