Local sources reported on Friday, August 16, 2024, that two soldiers and a bulldozer driver were killed in a sabotage attack on a military site in Marib Governorate (northeastern Yemen).

According to the online platform "Marib 360," the two soldiers, both members of the Abidah tribe, and the bulldozer driver were killed by saboteurs who attacked a site belonging to the 2nd Road Protection Brigade (north of Wadi District).

The report stated that the soldiers were on duty protecting equipment involved in constructing an earthen barrier within the Wadi District security belt to prevent smuggling operations toward Houthi-controlled areas.

The local platform identified the three victims as Fahd bin Hamad bin Awshan, Ali Hassan Mohammed Awir, and Naji Hadi Al-Barti (bulldozer driver).
