While Hodeidah recorded the highest rainfall on Saturday, reaching 66.3 millimeters, the NCM's daily bulletin reported significantly lower amounts for the past 24 hours. The highest recorded rainfall was in Ibb (37.4 millimeters), followed by Rima (20.5), Taiz-Al-Ma'afer (19.1), Dhamar (9.1), Al-Mahwit (8.8), Hodeidah (3.5), and Sana'a (2.6).
The NCM has issued a forecast for thunderstorms with varying intensities, accompanied by strong downdrafts, hail, and potential flash floods in parts of Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Rima, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, and Sa'ada governorates, as well as the highlands and coastal areas of Tihama.
The forecast also includes moderate to heavy rainfall in coastal areas of Mahra, Hadramaut, Shabwa, Abyan, and Aden, as well as the adjacent inland regions. The NCM expects varying levels of rainfall in parts of Al-Bayda, Al-Jawf, and Marib.
The NCM has issued a warning to citizens, urging them to avoid valleys, flood channels, and crossing bridges during heavy rainfall. They also advise against venturing out during thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail. The NCM further warns of reduced visibility due to rain and fog, potential rockfalls on roads and mountain slopes, and collapse of mud and traditional buildings due to continued rainfall.
The NCM has called upon relevant government agencies to take necessary measures to protect lives and property and to closely monitor the center's bulletins and reports.
