Marib, Yemen (August 22, 2024) - An electrical short circuit tragically claimed the life of a mosque imam and khatib in Marib al-Wadi district, Marib governorate (northeastern Yemen) on Thursday.
According to a Barran Press correspondent, Sheikh Mohammed Fadil, the imam and khatib of the "Al-Hawi" village in Marib al-Wadi district, was electrocuted while attempting to repair electrical wiring for the mosque's lighting system.
The correspondent explained that Fadil was instantly killed by the electric shock.
