On Monday, September 9, 2024, Yemen's Ministry of Media in the internationally recognized government announced the passing of Anisa Khamis bin Jubair, a prominent announcer and actress from Hadramout Governorate in eastern Yemen.

In a condolence statement published by the official Yemeni news agency Saba, the ministry expressed that Mukalla and Yemen have lost "one of the distinguished radio voices" who made significant contributions to the media landscape, characterized by dedication and sincerity throughout her professional career.

Having worked at Mukalla Radio for over three decades, Anisa was described as "the voice of the nation, the people, and society," carrying a noble message and upholding high moral standards, according to the statement.

In addition to her radio work, the late Khamis was an accomplished theater personality, winning numerous awards for her performances both domestically and internationally, underscoring her creative and cultural role alongside her media career.
