On September 25, 2024, the Yemeni Embassy in Kuala Lumpur hosted a celebration commemorating the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution and the 61st anniversary of the October 14 Revolution. The event featured the lighting of a torch amidst chants from the Yemeni community, who expressed their solidarity with the revolution and the Republic of Yemen.

In his address at the event, Yemen's Ambassador to Malaysia, Adel Ba Hamid, stated, "Today we celebrate the anniversary of the Yemeni revolution, reaffirming our commitment to its principles and values. We call on our political leadership to launch a national project in education that strengthens our national identity and reshapes the consciousness of future generations," according to the official Yemeni news agency, Saba.

Ambassador Ba Hamid emphasized that it is time to unite the efforts of national forces toward liberation from the shackles of tyranny and dependency.

He urged every Yemeni to draw inspiration from the struggles and sacrifices of the revolution's leaders and heroes, stating, "This occasion reminds us to hold our heads high, reflecting on the resilience and sacrifices of Yemenis in the face of the remnants of Imamate and colonialism."

The lighting of the torch is an annual tradition organized by the embassy, and this celebration is part of a series of national events officially sponsored by the Yemeni Embassy. The "Yemenis" group in the media supports the initiative, while the Yemeni community and the Yemeni Students Union in Malaysia handle the organization.
