On September 25, 2024, Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak stated that his visit to Marib, accompanied by several government officials, is not merely a celebratory occasion but is focused on addressing pressing issues affecting the region.

During a wide-ranging meeting led by Major General Sultan Al-Arada, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Bin Mubarak highlighted the importance of listening to the needs of citizens and local authorities. He emphasized the need to find solutions within available resources.

He urged ministers and specialists to discuss various challenges faced by the province and to develop a joint executive plan that addresses the needs for support and responsibilities that the government must fulfill to enhance local performance, correct deficiencies, and implement projects that contribute to the development of Marib. This includes improving infrastructure and services for both displaced persons and the host community.

"Marib has transitioned from realizing Yemen's new dream to protecting that dream, which will undoubtedly be fulfilled. We must not lose sight of the battle, as Marib has stood as a fortress for the nation when many state foundations crumbled. We also recall the struggles of our heroes in Aden, Taiz, Al-Dhale, Shabwa, and beyond," he stated.

Bin Mubarak praised the exemplary model presented by local authorities in Marib, emphasizing their commitment to upholding the state's integrity and maintaining order through a cohesive security plan to thwart Houthi attempts to destabilize the region.

He affirmed that this approach should prevail across all liberated provinces, highlighting Marib's role in hosting displaced Yemenis fleeing Houthi oppression.

The Prime Minister extended his congratulations to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni people, both domestically and abroad, on the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution. "We celebrate with you and are honored to be among you during the Yemeni Revolution anniversaries in this resilient province, which continues to play a pivotal role in the fight against the Houthi project and in accommodating millions of displaced individuals," he remarked.

Bin Mubarak emphasized Marib's significance as "the fortress of the republic," which has preserved the dreams of Yemenis and resisted the Houthi militia's attempts at dominance. He noted that the militia's project faltered against the steadfastness of Marib and its allies from other provinces.

He reiterated that the primary objective of the Presidential Council and the government is to restore state institutions and end the coup. The government has outlined several priorities for the upcoming phase, focusing on resource development, financial and administrative reforms, enhancing transparency, and combating corruption.

While the government is committed to peace, Bin Mubarak acknowledged the nature of the Houthi's divisive agenda and their lack of sincerity in pursuing peace. He emphasized the importance of supporting the army and addressing the needs of the wounded and families of martyrs as a tribute to their sacrifices.

Earlier that day, Prime Minister Bin Mubarak arrived in Marib, accompanied by ministers from various sectors to assess the province's conditions and participate in celebrations for the Yemeni Revolution anniversaries in September, October, and November.
