On Thursday, September 26, 2024, military sources reported that an engineering team successfully disarmed explosive devices equipped with thermal sights that had been planted by unknown individuals on a main road in Shabwa, eastern Yemen.

According to sources speaking to Bararan Press, the team from the Shabwa Defense Forces dismantled the devices located along the road between the areas of Muri Al-Mahdhara and Al-Hat in the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa province.

The sources indicated that the explosives were designed to detonate upon detection of any object within three meters. Fortunately, the engineering team was able to safely disarm the devices and transport them to the relevant authorities in Ataq for further action.
