The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning announced on Saturday, October 5, 2024, that varying degrees of thunderstorms are expected to bring rain to several areas across 14 Yemeni provinces within the next 24 hours.
In its daily bulletin, which was reviewed by "Barran Press," the center indicated that thunderstorms of varying intensity are anticipated in the provinces of Taiz, Lahij, Ibb, Al-Dhale, Raymah, western Dhamar, the highlands and coastal plains of Tihama, Abyan, Shabwa, and Hadramout.
The center also noted a possibility of scattered rain in parts of Al-Bayda, Al-Mahwit, Amran, Hajjah, and western Saada.
Additionally, it reported that rainfall recorded over the past 24 hours at some weather stations included 0.4 mm at Al-Kuddan in Al-Hudaydah and 0.2 mm in Al-Mahwit. Scattered rain outside the range of monitoring stations was also observed in parts of Shabwa, Al-Bayda, Lahij, Taiz, Ibb, and Raymah.
