On Sunday, October 6, 2024, the Solidarity Events Committee in Marib Province, northeastern Yemen, announced a series of activities to support the Palestinian people in Gaza.

In a statement received by "Barran Press," the committee outlined that the first event will kick off with a marathon in the city of Marib at 8 AM, followed by a solidarity gathering for the children of Yemen in support of the children of Gaza and Palestine. Additionally, a large women’s march is scheduled in the afternoon, traversing the city streets.

The committee also plans to host an artistic and musical festival on Monday evening featuring several poets and artists. It noted that the solidarity events will continue throughout the week, including a men’s march on Tuesday.

These activities aim to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemn the acts of genocide they have endured over the past year, according to the committee, which urged active participation in the events to stand in support of Palestine.

For nearly a year, Marib has been hosting solidarity events against the destructive and brutal war waged by Israeli forces, backed by unprecedented American and Western support.
