Yemen's recognized government's Defense Minister, Lieutenant General Mohsen al-Da'eri, paid tribute to the late Major General Abdulrab al-Shadadi on the eighth anniversary of his death, calling him a "pioneer in everything" and vowing to continue his legacy.

In a statement to Barran Press, al-Da'eri recalled al-Shadadi's unwavering dedication to defending Yemen and its achievements. He described the fallen commander as a courageous and skilled leader, loyal to his institution and country, who stood as a bulwark against Iranian-backed forces.

Al-Da'eri recounted their shared experiences in early battles, highlighting al-Shadadi's unwavering commitment and sacrifice. He also honored other fallen military leaders and heroes, renewing his commitment to following in their footsteps.

Major General Abdulrab Qasim al-Shadadi, commander of the Third Military Region, was killed in action on Friday, October 7, 2016, while leading the fight against the internationally designated terrorist group, Ansar Allah (Houthis), in the Sirwah front, west of Marib Governorate.
