Former Yemeni Vice President Major General Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar emphasized the unity of the September 26 and October 14 revolutions in a statement on Sunday. He noted that both revolutions have "moved together towards the ultimate goal" of a "greater Yemen."

In a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account seen by Barran Press, Al-Ahmar commemorated the 61st anniversary of the October 14 Revolution. He highlighted the bravery of those who ignited the liberation spark from the mountains of Radfan, drawing inspiration from the glorious September 26 Revolution.

He stated, "The two revolutions united to break the chains of Imamate, ignorance, backwardness, tyranny, and colonialism, advancing together on a single path towards the ultimate goal of a greater Yemen."

The Yemeni people will celebrate the 61st anniversary of the revolution against British colonial rule in southern Yemen on Monday, October 14, 2024. The revolution was first sparked by revolutionary leader Rajeh Labouza from the mountains of Radfan.
