The Israeli military announced the assassination of Muhammad Kamel Na'eem, the commander of the anti-tank missile system within Hezbollah’s Radwan Unit, in an airstrike in the Nabatiyeh region of southern Lebanon.

In a statement, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated, "Israeli Air Force aircraft targeted the Nabatiyeh area, eliminating Muhammad Kamel Na'eem, who was responsible for planning and executing numerous attacks, including the launch of anti-tank missiles towards Israel's home front."

Hezbollah has not immediately commented on the Israeli military's announcement.

Additionally, the IDF reported that in recent hours, Hezbollah launched rocket fire towards northern and central Israel, with some projectiles intercepted while others landed in open areas, causing no reported injuries.

The army further noted, "In a surveillance and targeting operation, warplanes attacked launch sites in southern Lebanon used for these strikes."

Since September 23, Israel has expanded its military operations, which began with the intensification of actions in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, to include airstrikes in Lebanon, targeting the capital Beirut alongside ground incursions in the south.

According to official Lebanese data tracked by Anadolu Agency, Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon have resulted in 1,539 deaths and 4,471 injuries, including many women and children, with over 1.34 million people displaced.

Hezbollah has been responding daily with rockets, drones, and artillery fire targeting military positions and settlements. While Israel acknowledges some of its casualties and losses, military censorship has imposed strict limitations on reporting most losses, according to observers.
