The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate reported on Monday that the National Resistance Forces, stationed on the western coast and led by Presidential Council member Tariq Saleh, have detained journalist Adel Al-Nuzaili for the past five days.

In a statement reviewed by "Barran Press," the syndicate expressed frustration over its unsuccessful efforts to secure Al-Nuzaili's release, describing the resistance forces' refusal to cooperate as "unfathomable" and lacking a clear justification for his detention.

The syndicate noted that the reasons behind Al-Nuzaili’s arrest remain unclear, and the leadership of the western coast forces, represented by Major General Tariq Saleh, has remained silent regarding the syndicate's requests for action.

While condemning the arrest, the syndicate held the leadership of the western coast forces responsible and demanded the immediate release of Al-Nuzaili. They emphasized that this incident adds to the growing list of violations against journalists in Yemen, urging solidarity with Al-Nuzaili as his detention occurs outside any legal or administrative procedures and without a clear charge.
