On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, political parties in Marib province convened to address the current economic and political situation, including the decision by three parties to suspend their activities within the "National Alliance of Parties."
The meeting, called by the Yemeni Rashad Party, aimed to discuss various political and economic issues at both local and national levels. Participants agreed on the importance of respecting each party's convictions and emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to bridge differences and promote national unity.
The attendees also decided to continue regular meetings and establish an organized framework for political activities and decision-making concerning the political landscape in Marib and Yemen as a whole.
On October 11, 2024, branches of the Yemeni Socialist Party, the Popular Nasserist Organization, and the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party in Marib announced their suspension of political activities under the banner of the "National Alliance of Parties." In a statement reviewed by "Barran Press," these parties expressed their pride in their active role despite the challenges and obstacles posed by certain factions seeking to undermine the collaborative political experience.
In April 2019, 16 political parties and organizations, including the General People's Congress, Islah, Socialist, Nasserist, and Ba'ath parties, announced the formation of a political alliance supporting legitimacy and state restoration, committed to national references and principles, named the "National Alliance of Yemeni Political Forces."
