The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted scattered rainfall across 20 Yemeni governorates in the next 24 hours.
In its daily bulletin released on Thursday & seen by Barran Press, on October 24, 2024, the center indicated that varying degrees of thunderstorm rains are expected in the following provinces: Lahij, Taiz, Al-Dhale, Ibb, Raymah, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, and parts of the Tihama plains and highlands, as well as Al-Hudaydah and Saada.
Additionally, the center anticipates sporadic rains accompanied by thunderstorms in areas of Al-Jawf, Marib, western parts of Amran, Sana’a, Dhamar, Abyan, Al-Bayda, Shabwa, and parts of the Hadramaut plateau, along with the eastern, southern, and western coasts and the Socotra Archipelago.
The National Center warned against being in low-lying areas and riverbeds during and after rainfall and thunderstorms. It also advised drivers to exercise caution due to reduced visibility on roads and mountainous slopes caused by low-lying clouds and fog.
