On November 2, 2024, security forces in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, conducted a successful raid on an illegal alcohol production facility in the Al-Mokha district, leading to the arrest of two suspects involved in the manufacture and distribution of prohibited substances.

According to a security source from the Al-Mokha Security Department, the operation was carried out in coordination with relevant authorities as part of an ongoing effort to combat the sale and promotion of alcohol in the region.

The source revealed that after a thorough surveillance and intelligence-gathering process, security forces successfully targeted the hideouts of the individuals involved, leading to the discovery of the alcohol production facility. Two out of three suspects were apprehended, including the owner of the residence used for the operation.

The security forces also reported that they destroyed the seized quantities of alcohol and placed the suspects in custody to complete the legal proceedings against them.
