On November 13, 2024, medium-caliber weapon clashes erupted between two tribes in the Bayhan district of Shabwa Governorate, southeastern Yemen. According to a tribal source, the violence is rooted in a recent incident involving the deaths of a young man and a child.

The source, speaking to "Barran Press," reported that the fighting broke out between the Al-Dahmar and Al-Bahri tribes in the city of Bayhan Al-Ulya. The conflict was ignited after the killing of a member of the Al-Dahmar family and a child from the Al-Shouan family by individuals from the Al-Bahri tribe the previous Thursday.

The clashes reportedly lasted for several hours, with intermittent gunfire continuing between the factions. Notably, there has been no tribal intervention or action from the military forces present in the governorate to halt the fighting.

The previous Thursday, armed members of the Al-Bahri family attacked shops belonging to the Al-Dahmar tribe in the Al-Ulya market, resulting in the deaths of child Abdulilah Bahr Shouan and young man Mohammed Al-Hamees Dahmar.
