Marib, Yemen – On Saturday, November 23, 2024, the "Jurhom" Media and Development Foundation was officially launched in Marib, northeastern Yemen, during a ceremony attended by local leaders, journalists, and community members.

Mazen Al-Shawki, the foundation's deputy director, stated that "Jurhom" aims to provide high-quality and reliable content through various channels, including print and digital journalism, as well as social media platforms.

He emphasized the foundation's goal of enhancing cultural and social awareness within the community by disseminating news and articles that reflect contemporary developments and meet the public's diverse needs.

In a speech delivered on behalf of the founders by Sheikh Murad bin Mohsen bin Muaili, leader Qaid Jirdan, it was emphasized that "Jurhom" is an independent media and development institution, not affiliated with any political party or group, and does not endorse any sectarian or regional factions. Its primary mission is to serve everyone and promote a culture of peace and development.

Bin Muaili remarked, "The launch of the JurhomFoundation comes at a time when the Yemeni tribe is engaged in a cultural and intellectual battle aimed at elevating human values against the dogmatic and discriminatory ideologies that contradict reason, law, and Sharia."

He added, "We hope that the foundation will actively contribute to spreading enlightened thought within the community and become a beacon of knowledge and intellectual development in Marib and Yemen as a whole."
