The "Kings of Sheba" team was crowned champion of the Martyr Hassan Bin Jalal Cup on Saturday, November 30, 2024, after defeating the "Ramila" team with a score of 4-1 in the final match held at the Marib Olympic Stadium, attracting a large audience.
The tournament, organized by the Youth and Sports Office in Marib City, lasted a month and featured 15 teams. It was held under the auspices of the local branch of the Yemeni Oil Company and the local council, coinciding with the celebration of Yemen's 57th National Independence Day on November 30.
After the match, the trophy and gold medals were presented to the "Kings of Sheba" team by the Marib Governor's Deputy Dr. Abdurrahman Muftah, the Director General of the Youth and Sports Office Ali Hashwan, and the Acting Director General of Marib City Muhammad Al-Harazi. The silver medals were awarded to the runners-up, the Ramila team.
Deputy Muftah emphasized that the tournament was a tribute to the martyr Hassan Farhan Bin Jalal, recognizing his sacrifices made in defense of the nation, the republic, and its revolutionary gains.
The football tournament began in early November 2024, organized for local teams in Marib City, and was part of the second phase overseen by the provincial youth office.
