On Friday, December 6, 2024, a large solidarity rally took place in Marib, northeastern Yemen, where thousands gathered to express unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their just cause. The demonstrators condemned the ongoing brutal crimes perpetrated by the Israeli occupation in Gaza, including genocide, forced displacement, home destruction, and blockades—actions they labeled as a disgrace to humanity.

The statement issued during the rally emphasized that the resilience of the Palestinian people in the face of such atrocities stands as a testament to their strength against oppression. Participants reminded the world that "the rights of the Palestinian people are inalienable, including their right to establish an independent and sovereign state with Jerusalem as its capital."

The residents of Marib vowed not to retreat or falter in their support for the Palestinian cause until Palestine is liberated and returned to its rightful owners. They asserted that "the occupation will vanish, no matter how long it takes, and justice will prevail despite the conspiracies and differing wills."

The rally's statement also condemned all brutal crimes committed by the Israeli occupation, calling on the International Criminal Court to recognize its historical responsibility regarding the blood of martyrs and the suffering of prisoners and tortured individuals. They urged international courts to serve as real arenas for holding criminals accountable, rather than havens for impunity.

The statement criticized the silence and inaction of the United Nations in implementing its previous resolutions related to the Palestinian issue, labeling it a dismal failure of the international justice system. They called for immediate action to activate UN resolutions and hold the occupation accountable for its ongoing crimes.

The International Committee of the Red Cross and global relief organizations were urged to intensify their efforts to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to Palestinians suffering from violence and siege. The worsening humanitarian crises, including shortages of food, water, and medicine, along with attacks on homes and vital facilities, reflect a tragedy that surpasses description and represents a profound moral failure of the international community.

Additionally, the rally called on all free nations to enhance campaigns of economic, political, and cultural boycotts against the occupying entity and to intensify protests and events that expose its crimes to the world.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with unwavering American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, resulting in over 145,000 Palestinian casualties, the majority being children and women, and more than 10,000 missing individuals amid widespread devastation and famine. This has led to one of the worst humanitarian disasters globally, while Israel continues its massacres, disregarding UN Security Council resolutions demanding an immediate end to its actions and the International Court of Justice's orders to take measures to prevent genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
