SANAA, YEMEN — A fire broke out early Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the "Magical City" arcade located in the Libyan Center, one of Sanaa's most popular commercial hubs, according to local sources and residents.

The sources confirmed that the fire was confined to the "Magical City" arcade, situated on Algiers Street in central Sanaa. The management of the Libyan Center stated that they managed to control the fire, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the building.

In a brief statement on their official page, the Libyan Center announced that the fire "occurred in the bowling alley of Magical City and was fully contained by the civil defense with no reported injuries."

This incident continues a recent spate of fires in commercial centers and markets in Sanaa, with the most recent being the blaze at the Shamlan Hypermarket last month.
