A diplomatic source at the Yemeni embassy in Jordan confirmed on December 22, 2024, that three Yemenis previously hidden in Syrian prisons have been located among the thousands released by Syrian opposition forces.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealed to "Barran Press" that the individuals found are Mohammed Al-Maliki, Hassan Al-Wahib, and Ahmed Radman. Al-Wahib was discovered at Ibn Al-Nafis Hospital in Syria, while Al-Maliki and Radman were located at Al-Sham Hospital in Damascus.

Families of the detainees have been officially notified, and arrangements are being made for their transfer to Jordan in coordination with the appropriate authorities. The source emphasized that there are ongoing efforts to monitor the situation of all missing Yemenis in Syria, following directives from the highest military leadership.

Reports indicate that the three men are officers from the Air Force and Air Defense College, who went to Syria for postgraduate studies before being reported missing in 2012. There were earlier rumors suggesting they had been killed.

Activists on social media circulated footage purportedly showing Hassan Al-Wahib in poor health and suffering from memory loss, although the health statuses of Al-Maliki and Radman remain unverified. The recent capture of Damascus by opposition factions on December 8 marked the end of the Assad regime's 61-year rule, leading to the discovery of numerous prisons and the release of thousands of detainees, many in severe psychological and physical distress. Mass graves containing the remains of hundreds of missing individuals have also been uncovered.
